Le Mat is a small ‘village’ located about 10 minutes from Hanoi Youth Hostel. The village has long been famous for a traditional job: catching snakes. But don’t worry, as there are no snakes luring around the alleyways in the area!

Guests choose the snake, then drink the blood and gall. The heart is traditionally given to the guest of honor. Other parts of the snake are then prepared for a ten course meal.
